Using The Phones

Placing a Call

There are 2 ways to place a call, handset and handsfree.

After dialing the number, dialing a # or ✓ ends the string and places the call.

The dialing rules are:

Receiving a Call

Call Hold

        Push this button to put a call on hold.  There are 3 lines on the phone.  Putting a call on hold flashes a green LED for the hold line.  To pick that line back up, push the button with the flashing LED.  To call on the other two lines, select an unused line and place a call.  Selecting another line puts a call on hold.

 

Call Transfer

Another way to transfer calls is to use the softkeys on the LCD screen bottom when you are handling a call.  Here is more help.

Call Parking and Paging

This uses the LCD screen and buttons around the screen to make choices.  The first screen should have the extension for this phone and in the bottom left a "Parking" choice.  Select "Parking".  The call will be parked and the lot number announced.  Then, use the LCD screen to select the next display, and choose the page that you want to make.  You have a choice between the site and the different projects.

Retrieving Parked Call

This uses the LCD screen and buttons around the screen to make choices.  The first screen should have the extension for this phone and in the bottom left a "Parking" choice. If you are not on a call, selecting "Parking" and will give the list of parked calls. Select the parking slot that is your call.

Managing Voice Mail

There are several ways to access your email.

Minimum Setup

    Your phone extension has a number of settings accessible through the User Control Panel.  The default user and password is the extension number.  You may want to change the password to prevent unauthorized access. Here is a video showing UCP's features.
