We had a few extra minutes during twilight so I adjusted echelle pointing with tert tilts (echelle inst block updated with YCoef1 adjusted upwards by 150). By the end of the night, the arctic LL quad was looking almost normal with some remaining noise, but it reverted back to its almost saturated unhappy state during morning cals. We had arcsecond seeing and decent weather other than thin clouds all night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:33 ecamera 366( 152) -22 58 12.5 14.5 13.9 13.6 12.3 ND3 1.03 00:17 APOLLO 275( 1668) 27 71 12.9 11.5 12.1 11.2 12.1 530 1.20 01:21 arctic 460( 1108) 79 46 12.6 11.4 12.2 11.1 11.9 SDSS_r 0.97 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 44 12 259 (W) 297 ptly cldy none 17:00 63 40 7 271 (W) 229 ptly cldy none 18:00 60 40 10 267 (W) 254 ptly cldy none 19:00 56 39 4 346 (NNW) 239 ptly cldy none 20:00 52 38 5 334 (NNW) 252 ptly cldy none 21:00 55 36 1 295 (WNW) 233 ptly cldy none 22:00 55 37 2 247 (WSW) 296 ptly cldy none 23:00 55 40 2 340 (NNW) 326 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 40 2 213 (SSW) 340 ptly cldy none 01:00 55 39 1 185 (S) 248 ptly cldy none 02:00 55 40 1 207 (SSW) 304 ptly cldy none 03:00 56 39 3 217 (SW) 268 ptly cldy none 04:00 56 30 7 303 (WNW) 187 ptly cldy none 05:00 54 29 7 281 (W) 187 ptly cldy none 06:00 55 35 6 266 (W) 225 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
