Went through restarting nubs, then restarting kosmos-icc, after which the errors became "TorrentDev(torrentDev) failed to connect: connection failed" I went through the procedure of restarting the torrent which appeared to go smoothly, but the error persisted. At that point it was around 19:15 so I reached out for help, Amanda and Bill both logged on. Since kosmos was unusable at the time, NM05 logged on to take echelle data starting at 21:00. We restarted the kosmos-pan computer at 21:45. It got stuck on the reboot so I just hit the reset button on the kosmos-pan computer. After that it booted up normally, and after restarting the torrent kosmos was performing fine again. The scheduled A-half kosmos program was able to begin at 22:30. gcam was similarly having a generic exposure failed error at checkout, restarting nubs did not fix it, so I power cycled the 35m-gcamera computer on the intermediate level, after which it worked fine. Dust counters went offline around 22:00, Bill reset cronjobs which fixed it. Weather was very good the entire night, humidity rose a bit during B half, ~70%. After instrument issues were resolved the rest of the night was smooth sailing, swapped to arctic at 01:04. Closed dome to take flats with arctic at 03:45, and reopened and swapped back to kosmos at 04:02. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW03 KOSMOS I/S 17:45 22:30 KOSMOS connectivity issues ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:05 ecamera 482( 480) 130 55 16.5 19.0 19.9 18.9 17.4 ND2 1.09 22:29 kosmos 582( 1502) 57 69 17.2 17.5 19.1 17.0 17.1 -- 0.86 01:27 arctic 382( 1196) -172 53 15.5 15.1 15.8 14.9 14.7 SDSS_i 1.10 01:28 NA2gdr 35960(35960) -172 53 15.5 15.1 15.8 14.8 14.7 -- 1.33 04:26 kosmos 332( 1137) -59 37 15.8 14.7 15.0 14.5 15.7 -- 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 45 1 206 (SSW) clear none 17:00 65 45 5 24 (NNE) clear none 18:00 66 43 2 111 (ESE) clear none 19:00 66 49 5 205 (SSW) clear none 20:00 62 49 7 192 (SSW) clear none 21:00 62 47 5 190 (S) clear none 22:00 63 47 4 132 (SE) clear none 23:00 63 46 7 187 (S) 584 clear none 00:00 61 48 13 184 (S) 835 clear none 01:00 60 50 9 185 (S) clear none 02:00 59 52 9 186 (S) clear none 03:00 60 52 9 201 (SSW) clear none 04:00 60 51 8 209 (SSW) 851 clear none 05:00 61 50 6 247 (WSW) 515 clear none 06:00 61 49 3 254 (WSW) 465 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
