Dust had a sudden rise (~4300cts) at 0240, so went up to close, but dust counts went back to normal (~2200cts) by the time I got back. Stayed closed for a while to make sure it stabilised. Enclosure dust counter never went about 1000cts, so I believe the mirror wasn't affected. Opened again at 0330. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:34 kosmos 400( 1500) -48 52 18.9 21.2 21.0 20.4 19.4 -- 1.24 22:34 kosmos 300( 1217) -177 59 16.4 17.3 18.1 17.3 16.4 -- 1.26 01:18 arctic 440( 1253) 53 60 15.4 15.2 15.8 14.9 15.4 R 1.18 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 75 45 12 231 (SW) 1719 ptly cldy none 17:00 74 41 11 257 (WSW) 1740 mstly clr none 18:00 75 38 9 219 (SW) 1640 mstly clr none 19:00 71 35 1 207 (SSW) 1351 mstly clr none 20:00 68 25 7 93 (E) 994 mstly clr none 21:00 65 27 13 123 (ESE) 1062 ptly cldy none 22:00 63 37 21 126 (SE) 1599 mstly clr none 23:00 61 40 11 97 (E) 1848 clear none 00:00 60 41 13 113 (ESE) 2139 clear none 01:00 59 42 8 112 (ESE) 2172 mstly clr none 02:00 62 39 5 96 (E) 1947 clear none 03:00 63 36 6 248 (WSW) 1618 clear dust 04:00 61 36 5 212 (SSW) 1576 clear none 05:00 62 34 4 194 (SSW) 1546 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
