Clouds were forming and swirling above us all night which was concerning. Opened just around 03:15. Around 1am I went outside to take Zeus out and check the clouds, and there was this really werid and bad smell (kind of like old crayons) that was persistant in the upper and lower lots. Dan couldn't smell it, but to me it was very strong. Idk what it was but it but I wanted to make a note of it. Whatever it is, it was part of the reason I stayed closed for a while because I didn't want whatever it was getting on the mirror and in the dome. Cary please remember to check the UL na2 port latch. No real problems tonight :) ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:31 NICFPS 208( 1569) 277 54 16.5 17.2 19.4 17.2 16.5 MK-J 1.21 05:46 NICFPS 257( 1561) 52 69 16.3 16.1 17.0 16.1 16.5 MK-K 1.07 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 45 3 221 (SW) 1596 ptly cldy none 17:00 71 44 3 331 (NNW) 1604 ptly cldy none 18:00 71 44 2 47 (NE) 1535 ptly cldy none 19:00 70 44 6 74 (ENE) 1539 ptly cldy none 20:00 67 43 7 110 (ESE) 1553 mstly cldy none 21:00 67 40 8 108 (ESE) 1488 mstly cldy lt rain 22:00 65 40 16 112 (ESE) 1899 mstly cldy none 23:00 65 39 18 126 (SE) 1783 mstly cldy none 00:00 65 39 14 129 (SE) 1747 mstly cldy none 01:00 64 39 18 132 (SE) 1814 ptly cldy none 02:00 63 39 18 138 (SE) 2096 mstly clr none 03:00 62 45 19 126 (SE) 2088 mstly clr none 04:00 63 46 16 150 (SSE) 2038 ptly cldy none 05:00 62 45 15 172 (S) 1879 mstly clr none 06:00 62 43 14 181 (S) 1822 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
