Seeing was very good. By the end of A-half, clouds started to come in. We switched over to ARCTIC and had trouble with bias levels in single quad mode (PR 2305). Then UW04 took flats from 01:40 until 02:05. Clouds made focusing ARCTIC especially complicated, and then we were only able to get a few images on sky before radar started popping up. We got a light sprinkle of rain around 03:30, and the clouds and radar kept us closed for the remainder of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UW04 ARCTIC I/U 01:10 01:40 ARCTIC bias level very high in single quad mode ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:34 arctic 450( 1440) -36 30 18.7 18.4 18.9 18.4 18.5 SDSS_r 1.41 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 77 46 7 194 (SSW) 1584 ptly cldy none 17:00 78 47 17 224 (SW) 1328 ptly cldy none 18:00 71 43 8 243 (WSW) 1345 ptly cldy none 19:00 71 43 4 196 (SSW) 1257 ptly cldy none 20:00 67 42 5 190 (S) 1407 mstly clr none 21:00 68 42 12 183 (S) 1440 mstly clr none 22:00 68 42 12 181 (S) 1321 mstly clr none 23:00 68 40 11 183 (S) 1444 ptly cldy none 00:00 67 39 15 179 (S) 1196 ptly cldy none 01:00 67 39 11 192 (SSW) 1249 mstly cldy none 02:00 65 39 13 206 (SSW) 1316 mstly cldy none 03:00 66 37 11 213 (SSW) 1157 mstly cldy lt rain 04:00 64 34 11 192 (SSW) 1070 ptly cldy none 05:00 65 34 10 193 (SSW) 1151 ptly cldy none 06:00 63 35 9 210 (SSW) 1232 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
