I did the "fix" that Carry suggested to the PS and noticed that as I lifted the box the current went up to the correct level. I really didn't need to do the fix, but I was halfway through and noticed the current changed as I let the box go. Tonight I decided to let the Echelle IOL script take 3 images each for the Red, Blue, and Wave cal. Just to see if the issue I have been seeing the last couple of nights came back and if/what multiple exposures taken one after another had on the resulting IOL. Bill took images this afternoon and all was fine. Separate email send to obs specs/engineers on results I found. We lost access to the local web pages around 22:00. I was able to access the IRSC and All Sky Camera remotely from my home computer but not on site. I was not able to access the weather status page for home or site, which meant I could not monitor humidity or dust. Shane said the web server had an event and he rebooted it. When things came back online, the dust counter was sitting at 4077 cts outside. I am going to give it a few minutes to see if this is real or not. Other weather measurements were way off initially but settled pretty quick. The next update for the dust and both counters went to dpDep although the humidity was below 40%. Kaike said he took the handheld counter outside and it was reading lower than reported. I decided to close due to clouds and elevated dust >4K at changeover at 01:00. We re-opened at around 02:50, still elevated dust levels but below the 4K closure. Tertiary mirror behaved properly between each port switch. Echelle IOL images taken (I took 3 images each again) the first set reduced fine and I added those to the database. Some weather info was missing due to the site web server issue. No telescope issues tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:03 APOLLO 495( 2231) 53 23 18.3 21.8 21.6 22.1 20.2 -- 1.20 21:09 ecamera 520( 465) -164 61 18.3 19.6 20.1 19.3 18.8 Clear 0.98 23:31 ecamera 414( 333) -34 74 17.3 17.6 18.3 17.4 17.2 Clear 1.54 03:02 arctic 414( 1304) -91 61 18.0 16.8 17.4 16.8 16.9 CUVR 0.80 04:55 arctic 425( 1316) 95 24 16.1 16.1 16.9 16.0 15.8 SDSS_r 1.22 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 70 40 8 98 (E) ptly cldy none 17:00 76 45 12 183 (S) ptly cldy none 18:00 70 40 11 151 (SSE) ptly cldy none 19:00 69 39 10 160 (SSE) ptly cldy none 20:00 68 38 13 148 (SSE) ptly cldy none 21:00 66 37 21 149 (SSE) ptly cldy none 00:00 64 38 18 117 (ESE) 4179 ptly cldy dust 01:00 64 38 8 123 (ESE) 4304 mstly cldy dust 02:00 63 37 5 109 (ESE) 3910 ptly cldy none 03:00 64 37 1 191 (S) 3708 clear none 04:00 62 37 3 142 (SE) 4011 clear none 05:00 62 36 2 127 (SE) 3972 clear none 06:00 61 36 7 125 (SE) 3861 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
