We opened with about 2 hours left of A-half and struggled with clouds the whole time, but the students got more practice with KOSMOS! B-half started off cloudy and cleared up, but we were getting photons the whole time. We had quite good seeing despite the clouds. No telescope or instrument problems. Be aware of ARCTIC fan power cord across NA2 side of dome floor. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:09 khigh 390( 1278) -43 61 15.9 16.8 17.7 16.7 15.6 -- 0.80 01:26 arctic 459( 1367) 163 74 15.1 15.2 15.8 15.1 14.9 SEMROCK 0.80 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 32 24 72 (ENE) 660 mstly cldy none 17:00 67 32 5 97 (E) 969 mstly cldy none 18:00 67 33 4 70 (ENE) 1342 mstly cldy none 19:00 65 33 10 61 (ENE) 1181 mstly cldy none 20:00 63 33 10 111 (ESE) 1223 mstly cldy none 21:00 61 32 7 24 (NNE) 1700 mstly clr none 22:00 63 32 1 209 (SSW) 1423 mstly clr none 23:00 60 32 5 180 (S) 1820 ptly cldy none 00:00 61 32 11 136 (SE) 1894 mstly cldy none 01:00 60 32 13 156 (SSE) 1791 mstly cldy none 02:00 59 31 17 156 (SSE) 1494 mstly cldy none 03:00 58 31 5 105 (ESE) 1497 ptly cldy none 04:00 57 30 7 125 (SE) 1573 mstly clr none 05:00 57 30 12 138 (SE) 1494 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
