When it finally cleared up we tried but only got about an hour on sky before the thick clouds (and nearby radar) came back. We were finally able to open back up around 04:00 and the class got to do a few KOSMOS exposures and then speedrun some planet observations with the eyepiece during twilight! While WY03 was running a sequence of bias exposures, one of them failed with the error "Torrent Error: ERROR: command >(null)< not found." I restarted the kosmos-icc and reset the heater servo deadband to 3. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:27 ecamera 300( 136) 187 38 15.0 15.3 16.5 15.1 14.8 Clear 1.30 04:16 kosmos 515( 1284) 280 53 13.3 14.1 15.1 13.9 12.8 -- 1.18 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 33 11 83 (E) 937 cloudy none 17:00 62 32 12 72 (ENE) 846 cloudy none 18:00 65 32 1 218 (SW) 904 cloudy none 19:00 62 32 2 225 (SW) 1454 cloudy none 20:00 61 32 5 184 (S) 934 cloudy lt rain 21:00 57 32 6 255 (WSW) 1673 ptly cldy none 22:00 59 31 3 249 (WSW) 2119 ptly cldy none 23:00 58 31 1 309 (NW) 1416 mstly clr none 00:00 61 31 2 20 (NNE) 1283 mstly cldy none 01:00 62 31 5 98 (E) 873 mstly cldy none 02:00 63 32 7 111 (ESE) 852 ptly cldy none 03:00 60 31 5 186 (S) 1564 mstly clr none 04:00 55 29 8 86 (E) 1263 mstly clr none 05:00 59 31 1 273 (W) 1183 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
