Just as we were getting ready to open after the tert remap, clouds started forming directly overhead. Opened around 11:30am. Closed at 2:30am due to increasing dust, and we were finishing up on sky for the night, so we were planning on closing around then anyways. Engineering tasks completed tonight: - Remap of tertiary - Wiki updates - Echelle pointing - Tspec inst block - kcam focus ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:52 kosmos 217( 1278) 145 62 20.8 20.4 21.1 20.0 20.0 -- 0.70 02:33 kosmos 217( 1251) 155 67 19.6 19.9 20.6 19.4 19.1 -- 0.98 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 77 44 6 73 (ENE) 3465 ptly cldy none 17:00 77 43 15 127 (SE) 2874 ptly cldy none 18:00 77 44 11 115 (ESE) 2853 mstly clr none 19:00 75 42 11 101 (E) 2731 clear none 20:00 72 42 5 94 (E) 2931 clear none 21:00 69 41 12 111 (ESE) 2815 clear none 22:00 68 35 9 91 (E) 2117 ptly cldy none 23:00 68 33 8 105 (ESE) 1906 mstly clr none 00:00 68 37 9 30 (NNE) 2825 clear none 01:00 71 29 2 147 (SSE) 1630 clear none 02:00 70 32 2 216 (SW) 1802 clear dust 03:00 68 41 1 302 (WNW) 2820 clear none 04:00 69 37 11 61 (ENE) 2695 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
