We were able to open up and do some engineering before 1-micron dust spiked--we closed at 01:20. Dust maxed out around 42,000 counts and it leveled out around 40k for a few hours. KEPZ El Paso radar is offline for repairs. TR4, BC1, and NA1 eyelids all had to be commanded multiple times before they opened. Telescope is parked at -17,64 since we don't want to open mirror covers with dust counts inside enclosure still over 5,000. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:46 guider 304( 1594) 101 61 20.8 22.1 21.7 21.7 20.9 Clear 1.19 00:51 tcamera 370( 1640) -2 65 19.5 19.6 20.3 19.5 19.4 Ks 1.23 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 74 49 0 166 (SSE) 928 ptly cldy none 17:00 74 49 1 47 (NE) 796 ptly cldy none 18:00 76 49 0 250 (WSW) 800 ptly cldy none 19:00 75 49 2 119 (ESE) 1111 ptly cldy none 20:00 72 49 9 91 (E) 1423 ptly cldy none 21:00 71 49 11 114 (ESE) 1206 ptly cldy none 22:00 72 48 15 152 (SSE) 1818 ptly cldy none 23:00 69 47 17 134 (SE) 2513 mstly cldy none 00:00 68 46 18 133 (SE) 2760 mstly clr none 01:00 67 44 18 142 (SE) 3481 mstly clr none 02:00 68 47 16 149 (SSE) 26169 mstly clr none 03:00 68 47 9 169 (S) 36750 mstly clr none 04:00 67 47 7 181 (S) 32299 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
