I slewed upwards first then down, per our obs spec meeting discussion. ARCTIC had the LL quad issue during checkout images. No problems with Echelle ThAr lamps during checkout or during my 1st observers cals. We had lots of clouds forming just to our west and moving over head. Initially I wasn't sure if they had rain, as I saw a nearby cloud with virga. I opened the dome but kept the mirror covers closed. By 23:15 we seemed to have some clearing in the East but pretty cloudy elsewhwere. My observers had an eastern target so I let them use the telescope as the rain threat didn't seem immenent any more. The sky improved greatly around 23:45. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:27 ecamera 493( 483) 60 39 18.7 18.6 19.2 18.4 18.5 clear 1.45 01:08 ecamera 495( 428) 192 60 18.1 17.7 18.4 17.6 17.4 clear 1.38 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 72 41 22 242 (WSW) 1530 ptly cldy none 17:00 72 42 23 235 (SW) 1854 ptly cldy none 18:00 70 42 13 252 (WSW) 2319 ptly cldy none 19:00 71 39 23 267 (W) 2417 ptly cldy none 20:00 69 38 21 255 (WSW) 1764 mstly cldy none 21:00 67 40 15 235 (SW) 1302 mstly cldy none 22:00 66 38 13 257 (WSW) 1248 mstly cldy none 23:00 66 37 13 258 (WSW) 1057 ptly cldy none 00:00 66 37 14 265 (W) 1205 ptly cldy none 01:00 64 38 13 247 (WSW) 1056 ptly cldy none 02:00 63 38 13 269 (W) 1064 ptly cldy none 03:00 63 38 14 265 (W) 1001 ptly cldy none 04:00 62 38 16 280 (W) 1011 clear none 05:00 61 38 15 272 (W) 1261 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
