Closed at 00:55 due to rising pollen counts. Pollen decreased dramatically within an hour so opened up again. Arcsat user mentioned telescope was not connected to ACP. Went into ACP and connected telescope, and all was well. 3.5m slewing failed with error message: Slew failed: Sub-command(s) failed: MOVE (...): Timed out; MOVE (...): Cancelled on queue by immediate priority command 'INIT'; MOVE (...): Cancelled on queue by immediate priority command 'INIT'" Couldn't reinitialise axis through TUI: Sub-command(s) failed: : Sub-command(s) failed: INIT: Timed out; STATUS: Timed out" Asking for status from talk2boxes->tcc_rot1 produced no output. Reset controller through na2-rotator instead, and then was able to reconnect through TUI and get back on sky. Lost 10 minutes to this. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:57 dssi 491( 1749) 193 67 14.8 16.1 16.4 15.9 14.8 692nm 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 65 31 22 241 (WSW) 842 mstly clr none 17:00 67 30 17 224 (SW) 1018 mstly clr none 18:00 65 26 30 229 (SW) 1560 mstly clr none 19:00 61 25 26 224 (SW) 3803 ptly cldy none 20:00 60 25 27 238 (WSW) 2548 ptly cldy none 21:00 59 24 19 255 (WSW) 2542 ptly cldy none 22:00 58 21 18 269 (W) 2136 ptly cldy none 23:00 57 19 22 265 (W) 1932 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 18 14 261 (W) 1867 ptly cldy none 01:00 54 18 15 254 (WSW) 1634 ptly cldy none 02:00 52 17 10 260 (W) 1786 clear none 03:00 51 17 18 278 (W) 1900 clear none 04:00 50 18 17 272 (W) 1900 clear none 05:00 49 20 19 271 (W) 1857 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
