We managed to get through APOLLO observations with only minor cloud annoyances before handover, when all of the clouds showed up at once. I closed up since there was also a little more radar coming through, and we didn't open again until a little after 23:30. After that the clouds cleared up and we had a pretty peaceful night. No telescope or instrument problems. First ecam focus at 23:40 was at high airmass (17 alt) ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:21 APOLLO 427( 1910) 36 39 10.1 12.4 12.6 12.5 10.4 530 1.50 23:40 ecamera 368( -22) -83 17 10.3 10.1 10.4 9.9 10.1 ND1 1.39 00:03 ecamera 434( 10) -12 40 10.0 9.9 10.3 9.7 10.0 ND1 0.97 01:18 ecamera 456( -11) -90 53 9.8 9.1 9.7 8.9 9.2 ND3 1.23 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 56 27 6 259 (W) 1711 mstly cldy none 17:00 55 32 9 265 (W) 1566 mstly cldy none 18:00 47 39 7 6 (N) 2253 mstly cldy rain 19:00 49 33 13 68 (ENE) 1229 ptly cldy none 20:00 51 33 9 269 (W) 1305 ptly cldy none 21:00 51 33 7 232 (SW) 1389 ptly cldy none 22:00 51 32 10 208 (SSW) 1473 ptly cldy none 23:00 51 32 8 189 (S) 1626 mstly clr none 00:00 51 30 5 188 (S) 1655 clear none 01:00 49 32 4 182 (S) 1646 clear none 02:00 52 28 7 223 (SW) 1652 clear none 03:00 51 31 10 198 (SSW) 1783 clear none 04:00 50 31 12 196 (SSW) 1717 clear none 05:00 50 31 14 205 (SSW) 2018 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
