Problem disappeared after a few exposures. Added a comment to the existing PR. Quad mode used during observations, and appeared to be functioning properly throughout. Echelle VSET was set back to 0. CCD temperature remains stable at -90C. Arcsat user said Aquiredimages script was completing but not actually doing anything. After VNCing into arcsat-user, there were many unneccessary windows open (preferences, log, properties). Upon closing these, script immediately started running again. Arcsat failed to point at the flat screen. Went to dome and re-zenithed the telescope. After this, telescope was able to point at flat screen successfully. Nearby rain kept us closed through to 03:10. Rain appeared again around 12 deg twilight and forced closure. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:20 arctic 276( 1189) 188 56 14.5 15.1 17.7 14.9 14.5 BG40 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 69 21 8 202 (SSW) 1225 ptly cldy none 17:00 72 21 22 181 (S) 1129 ptly cldy none 18:00 70 23 14 202 (SSW) 1075 ptly cldy none 19:00 65 18 14 185 (S) 985 ptly cldy none 20:00 64 16 9 181 (S) 1148 mstly cldy none 21:00 64 15 14 178 (S) 1083 cloudy none 22:00 63 18 9 179 (S) 1451 cloudy rain 23:00 61 27 17 259 (W) 2665 cloudy rain 00:00 60 27 17 204 (SSW) 2064 cloudy rain 01:00 58 25 9 179 (S) 1669 ptly cldy rain 02:00 58 25 7 117 (ESE) 1756 mstly clr none 03:00 59 26 1 222 (SW) 1923 mstly clr none 04:00 58 27 1 330 (NNW) 1809 ptly cldy none 05:00 59 27 9 305 (NW) 2029 mstly cldy rain Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
