NA2 rotator was also issuing errors when I logged in: 2026-03-31 23:48:11 .tcc.0 0 tcc w text='INIT failed for axis: rot1' 2026-03-31 23:48:16 .tcc.0 0 tcc w text='STATUS failed for axis: rot1' I reset it in talk2boxes > na2-rotator. Added a note to the audit trail of PR2284 with more information. Initially, focus log script did not work, but after testing on my laptop first and then obsA, it does seem ok if obsA is connected to wifi. When we closed up for clouds and radar during A-half, observers used the Pause button on their ARCTIC image sequence. After closing up they attempted to start some cals, and were unable to start another exposure with an error about not being able to start an exposure while another is active, but they also had the Stop and Resume buttons grayed out. I pressed Stop and also got an error: "cannot start new exposure, self.exposeCmd not done" and had to do an arctic init to get the instrument working again, which (as usual) dropped the UL quad. I did not do a quad recovery tonight, it is still dropped. Originally scheduled UW03 program at the end of the night gave time to UW04 instead. Between thicker clouds and radar we were closed on and off tonight, and did not always have luck getting data through the clouds when we were open, but seeing was pretty good. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:06 arctic 386( 1212) 54 52 10.7 13.2 13.0 13.2 11.1 SDSS_r 0.90 00:48 ecamera 414( -26) -21 38 9.6 9.4 9.9 9.5 9.2 ND3 0.78 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 55 22 12 278 (W) 1343 cloudy none 17:00 55 24 7 270 (W) 1372 cloudy none 18:00 55 25 12 263 (W) 1378 cloudy none 19:00 53 25 1 255 (WSW) 1449 mstly clr none 20:00 50 25 6 214 (SW) 1355 mstly clr none 21:00 51 27 8 223 (SW) 1606 mstly clr none 22:00 52 27 11 224 (SW) 1537 ptly cldy none 23:00 51 27 12 215 (SW) 1687 ptly cldy none 00:00 50 26 9 260 (W) 1478 ptly cldy none 01:00 50 26 12 269 (W) 1537 ptly cldy none 02:00 49 27 13 269 (W) 1438 ptly cldy none 03:00 49 29 18 263 (W) 1584 ptly cldy none 04:00 48 30 14 261 (W) 1525 cloudy none 05:00 47 31 16 262 (W) 1576 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
