Observing Specialist: R.McMillan

High humidity and heavy clouds for the first half of the night and a few hours past midnight.  Then the clouds retreated (and returned, and retreated again), and the humidity got a bit lower for a while.  So we opened for a while in conditions of varying clouds and seeing.  Then the telescope cooled down, humidity and clouds showed signs of returning, so I closed again.  There was no further chance before dawn.

ARCTIC is showing signs of condensation in the lenses at the front of the instrument. This smakes fresh flats very important for all ARCTIC observers until the condensation can be dried.
