Once the radar passed by, the clouds continued to be pretty thick for hours longer. Finally they began to thin and I opened for observations with Tspec. The clouds were still patchy and interfering with the focus script, so I focused by hand instead. After that it was a struggle to keep guiding, but some useful data did come in. NICFPS noise looked high at afternoon checkout, so I power cycled the Leach controller, and afterward it seemed better. I did not take regular images with ARCTIC, only spot-checks, but by dawn the LL quad was part-recovered from saturation, but not back to normal. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 04:55 tcamera 425( 1316) 204 64 11.5 11.6 12.4 11.6 11.4 Ks 0.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 47 12 187 (S) ptly cldy none 17:00 55 47 9 185 (S) ptly cldy none 18:00 55 47 12 174 (S) ptly cldy none 19:00 53 47 16 146 (SE) mstly cldy none 20:00 54 46 17 146 (SE) cloudy none 21:00 54 44 15 155 (SSE) cloudy lt rain 22:00 54 43 13 183 (S) cloudy lt rain 23:00 51 45 18 148 (SSE) cloudy none 00:00 53 43 19 181 (S) cloudy none 01:00 53 44 17 172 (S) 341 cloudy none 02:00 53 43 20 181 (S) cloudy none 03:00 53 43 28 191 (S) mstly cldy none 04:00 53 43 27 201 (SSW) 350 ptly cldy none 05:00 53 43 29 186 (S) 320 mstly clr none 06:00 52 43 21 191 (S) clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
