Both halves of the night got some good conditions and some bad conditions, and all went well with the 3.5m. ARCSAT had some trouble at the start of the night, including a reboot and another restart of software to fix some broken connections. The clock also needed to be adjusted by about 2 hours. Once the pointing was fixed, everything went smoothly for the rest of the night. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:17 arctic 398( 797) -27 76 0.0 4.4 3.6 4.6 1.7 CUVR 0.94 21:38 arctic 517( 731) 101 68 0.4 0.4 1.3 0.5 0.5 CUVR 1.27 00:16 arctic 486( 706) 38 29 0.7 -0.1 0.6 -0.3 0.2 BG40 2.55 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 39 8 8 266 (W) 302 mstly clr none 17:00 38 10 5 233 (SW) 452 clear none 18:00 33 13 5 358 (N) 671 clear none 19:00 34 5 10 60 (ENE) 209 clear none 20:00 35 -3 17 58 (ENE) 113 clear none 21:00 34 -4 17 72 (ENE) 137 clear none 22:00 33 0 9 79 (E) 126 mstly clr none 23:00 34 1 10 89 (E) 82 ptly cldy none 00:00 34 -1 6 81 (E) 25 ptly cldy none 01:00 32 3 2 4 (N) 84 ptly cldy none 02:00 32 2 5 12 (NNE) 64 ptly cldy none 03:00 33 1 2 336 (NNW) 54 mstly clr none 04:00 33 0 8 39 (NE) 40 clear none 05:00 34 -2 6 308 (NW) 31 clear none 06:00 34 -2 3 359 (N) 41 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
