All-sky was restarted twice in the afternoon. We had a slight delay opening waiting for rain clouds to exit the area. We also had to close for a rapid onset of dense clouds and high humidity at the end of SU01 that carried into UW03, but all four programs got some data. We encountered the bug with the echelle slitviewer filters. Russet noted that going from ND5 to ND1 will cause the filter display to be off by two positions. With arc-second seeing and clear skies, the observer elected to just apply that known offset and continue to collect data. I will attempt to shift the filter position back during checkout tomorrow. No other instrument or any telescope issues. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:55 APOLLO 600( 2289) -15 29 15.5 16.9 17.8 16.5 15.4 530 1.70 20:45 ecamera 400( 262) 124 57 16.4 16.2 16.9 15.9 16.0 ND3 1.05 01:24 kosmos 375( 1179) 296 65 15.2 15.0 15.8 14.8 15.2 - 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 48 7 332 (NNW) 425 cloudy none 17:00 62 48 3 47 (NE) 528 cloudy lt rain 18:00 54 46 15 74 (ENE) ptly cldy none 19:00 59 53 11 81 (E) mstly clr none 20:00 59 49 12 82 (E) mstly clr none 21:00 62 47 13 57 (ENE) 456 mstly clr none 22:00 61 47 12 62 (ENE) 440 clear none 23:00 61 47 7 13 (NNE) 472 mstly clr none 00:00 60 45 7 84 (E) 398 mstly clr none 01:00 61 45 2 56 (NE) 371 mstly clr none 02:00 57 47 8 33 (NNE) ptly cldy none 03:00 57 48 9 89 (E) 482 cloudy none 04:00 54 51 12 77 (ENE) mstly clr humid 05:00 56 49 3 94 (E) mstly clr none 06:00 59 46 2 110 (ESE) 528 mstly clr none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
