JH05 talked with OU01 to observe I3/ATLAS during A half. Amazingly, we were able to get data with ARCTIC and Kosmos, though it took a good chunk of time to get KOSMOS properly on target. The skies were clear for most of the night and we had good seeing until the wind shifted to the east. There were storm blowouts that I thought would be straight up storms, but they didn't seem to make it as far as the mountain. The blowouts caused a spike in humidity and we had to close before 5am. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:10 arctic 289( 1717) 45 24 18.0 21.2 21.1 20.4 19.8 sdss-i 1.87 23:01 kosmos 285( 1435) 19 36 17.5 17.7 18.3 17.3 17.4 -- 1.52 01:24 ecamera 406( 454) 160 73 16.7 16.1 16.8 16.0 16.2 ND1 1.14 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 76 34 12 312 (NW) 1204 mstly clr none 17:00 74 34 10 274 (W) 1261 mstly clr none 18:00 75 33 10 269 (W) 948 mstly clr none 19:00 73 30 8 264 (W) 946 mstly clr none 20:00 70 30 3 255 (WSW) 1051 clear none 21:00 66 42 7 96 (E) 1837 clear none 22:00 63 40 10 86 (E) 1508 clear none 23:00 64 37 10 96 (E) 970 clear none 00:00 62 37 12 92 (E) 964 mstly clr none 01:00 62 44 11 87 (E) 1302 clear none 02:00 62 41 8 95 (E) 1169 clear none 03:00 59 50 9 92 (E) clear none 04:00 60 50 15 112 (ESE) 1746 mstly clr humid 05:00 55 54 21 79 (E) mstly clr humid Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
