Tonight started with high dust and ended with a couple of storm outflows colliding over the Sacramento mountains, but in between I got a few hours to check on a few instruments, collimation, and pointing. I got the first coarse adjustment to collimation done, but the telescope was not as cool as I would like, so this may be repeated later if opportunity allows. There is some frost on the NA2 guider which may cause issues with guiding, so we will llok for a way to remediate that. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:27 arctic 278( 1638) 125 61 19.8 20.4 20.7 20.2 19.5 sdss_r 1.19 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 83 44 11 256 (WSW) 4301 ptly cldy dust 17:00 75 34 9 280 (W) 2535 ptly cldy none 18:00 77 34 11 285 (WNW) 1704 ptly cldy none 19:00 74 44 13 202 (SSW) 1987 mstly clr none 20:00 68 47 16 139 (SE) 4027 mstly clr dust 21:00 68 44 14 137 (SE) 3540 mstly clr none 22:00 68 41 14 165 (SSE) 3803 ptly cldy none 23:00 67 38 15 161 (SSE) 2233 mstly clr none 00:00 65 43 26 143 (SE) 2275 mstly clr none 01:00 63 49 20 145 (SE) 3273 mstly clr none 02:00 64 48 26 134 (SE) 3143 ptly cldy dust 03:00 62 47 17 151 (SSE) 4482 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
