The night was clear with good seeing until the winds shifted. We had blow out from thunderstorms hit around 3:30 and the seeing was destroyed. And then the humidity and dust started spiking. We closed near 5am due to dust and were not able to reopen. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:46 ecamera 275( 384) -99 37 17.8 16.8 17.6 16.4 17.0 ND3 1.02 03:45 ecamera 271( 285) 336 77 13.4 15.3 16.2 14.9 14.4 ND1 2.16 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 76 27 9 200 (SSW) 835 clear none 17:00 78 27 15 217 (SW) 836 clear none 18:00 75 27 21 267 (W) 635 clear none 19:00 73 24 17 251 (WSW) 927 clear none 20:00 70 19 18 253 (WSW) 1682 clear none 21:00 67 16 16 265 (W) 1303 clear none 22:00 66 15 17 266 (W) 1002 clear none 23:00 65 14 12 264 (W) 868 clear none 00:00 64 14 13 274 (W) 814 clear none 01:00 63 12 13 295 (WNW) 801 clear none 02:00 63 11 1 225 (SW) 1503 clear none 03:00 64 12 7 338 (NNW) 940 clear none 04:00 55 24 12 72 (ENE) 1416 clear dust 05:00 53 33 13 78 (ENE) 4361 clear dust Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
