I did NOT zero the NA2 rotator (yet) since Candace wanted to do some NM02 science with the Echelle during twilight/first part of the night. I will do it before the pointing model tomorrow. We got a 1HZ error when I switched from APOLLO to AGILE. I reset the AGILE controller again, pinning the rotator at -90.0 when doing so. Russet next worked on Shack-Hartman collimation while we waited, especially since we have very good seeing at the moment and a cooled telescope. She said she had to make some adjustments and we did a spot check on several stars to confirm pointing. Unfortunately we had clouds so we used brighter stars to check. I closed due to clouds at 01:00 and proceeded with the Agile rotator tests. AGILE Rotator Tracking tests, Altitude 80 and 50 completed. Tasks for tomorrow night ------------------------ Zero NA2 rotator Throughput (if clear) Pointing Model Continue AGILE rotator tests, alt 20 Check/set ref focus points to around +300 for all instruments I finished around 05:00 with no telescope issues tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:40 ecamera 398( 487) 236 67 14.9 16.9 16.0 16.1 15.3 clear 0.90 23:53 shack 237( 1827) 60 57 13.4 13.6 14.1 13.4 13.3 -- 0.90 00:36 guider 222( 1293) 168 61 13.0 13.2 13.8 13.1 13.1 Clear 2.30 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 64 44 6 277 (W) 560 mstly clr none 17:00 66 42 11 273 (W) 663 mstly clr none 18:00 64 41 6 266 (W) 659 mstly clr none 19:00 62 40 8 321 (NW) 708 clear none 20:00 60 40 5 259 (W) 618 clear none 21:00 58 40 2 106 (ESE) 614 clear none 22:00 58 38 7 186 (S) 618 clear none 23:00 58 38 11 183 (S) 679 ptly cldy none 00:00 56 40 11 182 (S) 691 cloudy none 01:00 56 42 7 195 (SSW) 640 cloudy none 02:00 56 42 8 209 (SSW) 717 cloudy none 03:00 55 42 8 204 (SSW) 633 cloudy none 04:00 54 42 7 191 (S) 633 cloudy none 05:00 54 42 8 199 (SSW) 916 cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
