I had to do an arctic init to get the instrument working again, and (as expected) the UL quad has dropped. We observed in LL mode and I did not attempt to recover the quad tonight. We did not get on sky right away for flats because I was checking out ARCTIC. We had potometric sky all night with mostly really good seeing! ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UV05 ARCTIC I/S 20:12 20:25 ARCTIC bias failed and I had to do an arctic init ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:10 arctic 247( 1308) 66 70 13.1 14.1 14.5 13.6 13.4 SDSS_r 0.82 22:14 arctic 271( 1289) 96 55 12.2 13.1 13.7 12.7 12.6 SDSS_r 1.38 01:26 kosmos 300( 1161) 16 79 13.4 12.2 12.9 11.9 12.6 -- 0.65 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 63 13 10 252 (WSW) 2653 clear none 17:00 65 14 20 236 (SW) 2040 clear none 18:00 64 14 17 245 (WSW) 1909 clear none 19:00 61 12 15 260 (W) 2100 clear none 20:00 57 7 11 246 (WSW) 2115 clear none 21:00 57 5 14 240 (WSW) 2774 clear none 22:00 55 5 13 240 (WSW) 3235 clear none 23:00 57 5 10 228 (SW) 2944 clear none 00:00 54 6 10 235 (SW) 2377 clear none 01:00 56 7 10 188 (S) 1999 clear none 02:00 56 10 10 200 (SSW) 1999 clear none 03:00 55 9 7 197 (SSW) 2008 clear none 04:00 55 10 6 238 (WSW) 1975 clear none 05:00 54 12 5 241 (WSW) 2146 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
