I recorded the focus, after telescope was cool, for the Echelle and KOSMOS tonight. Echelle Focus 321 KOSMOS Focus 321 About 04:50UT the all sky camera captured a really nice rocket plume. You can see the white exhaust and the red afterglow. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:58 ecamera 427( 281) 228 73 11.6 11.9 12.1 11.5 11.5 ND1 0.73 22:11 ecamera 321( 161) -97 41 11.8 11.2 11.7 10.9 11.6 clear 1.10 23:07 kosmos 321( 1143) -120 50 11.3 10.9 11.7 10.8 11.0 empty 0.77 01:11 ecamera 320( 96) 163 61 11.2 10.1 10.9 10.0 10.3 Clear 1.05 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 57 4 9 344 (NNW) 956 clear none 17:00 56 6 15 355 (N) 914 clear none 18:00 57 6 5 326 (NW) 884 clear none 19:00 57 6 10 326 (NW) 967 clear none 20:00 53 3 7 325 (NW) 951 clear none 21:00 53 3 10 310 (NW) 980 clear none 22:00 53 11 11 300 (WNW) 1056 clear none 23:00 53 13 8 238 (WSW) 1151 clear none 00:00 52 12 8 197 (SSW) 1451 clear none 01:00 52 12 9 205 (SSW) 1494 clear none 02:00 52 13 9 191 (S) 1392 clear none 03:00 52 14 9 181 (S) 1422 clear none 04:00 52 12 13 224 (SW) 1390 clear none 05:00 52 12 9 239 (WSW) 1548 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
