We seemed to have some connectivity issues tonight. I first noticed some laggy connections with my browser, that seemed to resolve itself. A short while later my ARCSAT user could no longer connect to ACP via the web. It just sat at the intro screen with a spinning wheel thingy. I tried restarting the ACP server to no avail. I rebooted ARCSAT and still he could not connect. I VNC'ed to my home computer and tried logging in to ACP and I also had the same issue. My VNC connection also seemed a bit sluggish. After a short while my computer did manage to log in but when I closed and tried logging in again, it got stuck. Another ARCSAT reboot and it was still sluggish but sudenly I was able to log in and so was the ARCSAT user. Shortly thereafter my 2nd half observer could not download echelle guider images. I am not sure if that was due to connectivity as well or something else. My web browser seemed fine and the ARCSAT user had no further issues. This all occurred between m idnight up to just after 1AM. Echelle IOL end of night not taken since Candace was doing her cals. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:12 ecamera 455( 334) 139 76 10.4 12.4 12.0 11.5 10.4 ND1 0.98 01:17 ecamera 342( 97) 248 45 10.1 9.4 10.1 9.4 9.9 Clear 0.92 04:14 ecamera 330( 51) 92 35 8.5 8.5 9.3 8.4 8.4 ND2 1.11 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 11 23 223 (SW) 1756 clear none 17:00 60 11 15 237 (WSW) 1447 clear none 18:00 57 11 17 262 (W) 1398 clear none 19:00 54 7 18 254 (WSW) 1541 clear none 20:00 51 6 17 247 (WSW) 1446 clear none 21:00 48 6 11 244 (WSW) 1526 mstly clr none 22:00 51 6 13 228 (SW) 1868 clear none 23:00 51 1 12 249 (WSW) 2071 clear none 00:00 50 1 11 259 (W) 1944 clear none 01:00 51 5 10 263 (W) 1837 clear none 02:00 50 7 11 265 (W) 1696 clear none 03:00 49 11 11 264 (W) 1411 clear none 04:00 48 9 6 261 (W) 1400 clear none 05:00 47 12 6 258 (WSW) 1334 clear none 06:00 47 15 5 258 (WSW) 1258 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
