Things finally improved and we were able to open around 03:30. Apollo was having some issues and finished a little early. We used the remainder of the time to do pointing checks with Echelle and Agile. Pointing looked good for both. Focus was a little negative but we had a rather warm primary compared to the outside temps. Closed at 05:45 and parked telescope low for Pricilla to finish her tour in the morning as long as dust levels in the dome were below 3000 ctx she could open the mirror covers. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 03:41 APOLLO -100( 1362) 75 37 5.7 7.7 10.0 7.5 6.4 -- 2.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 61 22 33 268 (W) 73499 mstly cldy dust 17:00 61 19 27 264 (W) 83338 mstly cldy dust 18:00 59 19 41 216 (SW) 102608 mstly cldy dust 19:00 56 19 37 242 (WSW) 102251 mstly cldy dust 20:00 54 18 36 240 (WSW) 106369 mstly cldy dust 21:00 53 15 29 234 (SW) 80396 mstly cldy dust 22:00 52 19 33 225 (SW) 80767 mstly cldy dust 23:00 49 21 42 228 (SW) 63119 mstly cldy dust 00:00 48 13 31 232 (SW) 25602 mstly cldy dust 01:00 46 20 34 241 (WSW) 35489 mstly cldy dust 02:00 45 19 26 239 (WSW) 21031 mstly cldy dust 03:00 43 16 18 253 (WSW) 3868 ptly cldy none 04:00 42 14 22 247 (WSW) 2388 ptly cldy none 05:00 41 12 17 256 (WSW) 2069 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
