APOLLO started firing looking for the new retroreflector on the moon, the class got a lot of practice with all kinds of observing (mostly in fast panic mode), and UW10 was able to go to near dawn. The skies were clear even if the seeing wasn't as great. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:11 APOLLO 750( 1918) -88 52 2.0 1.7 1.3 2.6 2.2 530 1.80 20:28 kosmos 325( 626) -85 74 0.5 0.2 0.8 0.2 0.2 -- 1.24 00:25 ecamera 309( -407) 68 31 -0.6 -0.8 -0.6 -1.2 -1.0 ND2 1.42 03:08 ecamera 293( -456) 36 54 -0.7 -1.1 -1.1 -1.7 -1.2 clear 1.51 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 41 10 22 283 (WNW) 2236 clear none 17:00 39 8 23 272 (W) 2155 clear none 18:00 36 8 18 290 (WNW) 2076 clear none 19:00 34 11 14 334 (NNW) 1668 clear none 20:00 34 12 11 13 (NNE) 1232 clear none 21:00 33 14 15 356 (N) 933 clear none 22:00 32 13 11 1 (N) 867 clear none 23:00 31 15 16 26 (NNE) 755 clear none 00:00 31 17 26 18 (NNE) 731 clear none 01:00 31 17 12 25 (NNE) 741 clear none 02:00 31 16 18 13 (NNE) 734 clear none 03:00 31 15 18 2 (N) 711 clear none 04:00 31 13 8 1 (N) 717 clear none 05:00 31 10 20 334 (NNW) 666 clear none 06:00 32 7 7 348 (NNW) 570 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
