We had to wait about half an hour for the dust to drop at sunset before opening. We had decent seeing but the clouds got really bad in B-half, especially towards the end of the night. Cannot compute error on first tcc rot 0 mount command after inst change, but I re-initialized the axes and reslewed without problem. Restored ARCTIC rotation to full +/-270 range, no problems with the ion pump. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:04 ecamera 601( 463) 170 68 10.4 12.0 12.1 11.7 10.9 ND3 0.94 23:25 ecamera 383( 95) 285 71 9.4 9.0 9.6 9.0 9.2 ND4 1.02 01:23 arctic 303( 1059) 19 65 7.7 7.6 8.3 7.5 7.6 CUVR 1.15 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 15 27 257 (WSW) 2642 ptly cldy none 17:00 56 10 20 266 (W) 3280 ptly cldy none 18:00 54 11 19 255 (WSW) 4050 mstly cldy dust 19:00 53 12 26 262 (W) 6214 mstly cldy dust 20:00 51 13 18 262 (W) 3202 mstly cldy none 21:00 50 14 18 267 (W) 2010 clear none 22:00 50 14 12 246 (WSW) 2821 clear none 23:00 49 13 16 258 (WSW) 2834 clear none 00:00 48 11 28 276 (W) 1984 mstly clr none 01:00 46 9 19 255 (WSW) 1710 mstly cldy none 02:00 46 9 16 280 (W) 1902 mstly cldy none 03:00 45 12 18 278 (W) 1455 mstly cldy none 04:00 43 13 15 278 (W) 1378 mstly cldy none 05:00 43 16 21 290 (WNW) 1527 mstly cldy none 06:00 42 20 11 272 (W) 1435 mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
