Weather stayed in some combo of this for the remainder of the night. We finally opened at 05:15, and of course the wind picked up right afterwards again, but I had Scott point away from the wind and the mirror telemetry looked fine. No telescope problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:29 ecamera 404( 204) -88 30 7.8 9.9 9.8 9.7 8.4 ND3 0.97 19:09 ecamera 357( 93) -93 15 7.9 8.4 8.8 8.1 7.6 ND4 1.26 19:52 ecamera 370( 51) -109 38 7.9 7.7 8.3 7.5 7.6 ND3 1.31 05:26 tcamera -150( 406) 12 63 -2.9 0.1 3.2 1.6 -1.9 Ks 2.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 14 9 209 (SSW) 1601 mstly clr none 17:00 51 13 16 179 (S) 1698 mstly clr none 18:00 47 12 7 125 (SE) 1571 mstly clr none 19:00 46 14 20 155 (SSE) 1735 clear none 20:00 46 15 21 143 (SE) 1419 clear none 21:00 46 18 28 128 (SE) 1683 clear none 22:00 46 17 30 129 (SE) 1527 clear none 23:00 47 18 37 155 (SSE) 1482 mstly clr dust 00:00 45 19 26 201 (SSW) 3050 mstly cldy dust 01:00 42 16 24 216 (SW) 3396 cloudy dust 02:00 38 14 10 263 (W) 5374 mstly cldy dust 03:00 36 15 14 287 (WNW) 11332 cloudy dust 04:00 32 15 26 265 (W) 4025 mstly cldy dust 05:00 29 12 23 263 (W) 2356 clear none 06:00 25 11 23 264 (W) 2777 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
