Weather conditions kept us closed all night: radar and dust during A Half, and radar, winds and humidity during B Half. Gave up at 4:30 as that left insufficient time for science. Following several (~4) successful disperser moves earlier in the night, the KOSMOS disperser wheel error occurred twice, once while changing from blue to red and again going red to blue. KOSMOS was upright (rot=0) both times, and the air temperature was near 0C. Manually moving the wheel resolved the issue. No telescope issues. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 7 8 260 (W) 835 cloudy none 17:00 50 6 9 234 (SW) 756 cloudy none 18:00 42 12 11 90 (E) 1423 cloudy none 19:00 38 14 14 78 (ENE) 1815 ptly cldy none 20:00 37 15 16 87 (E) 2510 ptly cldy none 21:00 37 16 20 80 (E) 3388 ptly cldy dust 22:00 34 17 22 76 (ENE) 2717 mstly clr none 23:00 32 18 22 73 (ENE) 2145 ptly cldy none 00:00 31 18 18 74 (ENE) 1546 mstly clr none 01:00 27 18 19 77 (ENE) 1412 mstly clr none 02:00 25 19 34 67 (ENE) mstly clr none 03:00 24 18 42 72 (ENE) clear humid 04:00 24 15 29 73 (ENE) ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
