My observer gave up around 22:30 since they needed 1.5hrs minimum on their target. It was still cloudy when they gave up but started clearing aroudn 23:30 so we got on sky a few min early for the 2nd observer tonight. We had an odd occurance with the script in NICFPS around 12:05UT, it was in the middle of doing a 5 sequence and just it stopped taking exposures after exposure 2. I didn't see any problem in the log window at first look, it just stopped. I don't know if it was a camera issue or it was waiting for the dither to start/finish, but it just stopped doing anything. We aborted the exposure, I took a test image, which was fine, and we re-started the sequence with no more problems. Upon further examination after we got the instrument running again, it started throwing a warning at 2025-02-22 12:01:14 in the log window. It appear to keep taking images even with the warning. No telescope issues tongight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:09 NICFPS 260( 1122) 105 65 2.4 1.4 2.4 2.0 1.9 Ks 0.65 00:11 NA2gdr 49079(49079) 104 66 2.3 1.3 2.4 2.0 1.8 Clear 0.97 05:40 APOLLO 260( 1376) 26 23 1.4 0.1 0.8 0.0 0.6 -- 1.10 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 42 6 10 218 (SW) 1370 ptly cldy none 17:00 43 6 4 254 (WSW) 1407 mstly cldy none 18:00 35 5 3 190 (S) 930 cloudy none 19:00 35 3 5 189 (S) 828 cloudy none 20:00 36 3 7 221 (SW) 680 cloudy none 21:00 37 9 8 267 (W) 1165 cloudy none 22:00 37 9 7 270 (W) 1313 mstly cldy none 23:00 37 9 9 280 (W) 1345 mstly cldy none 00:00 37 9 5 273 (W) 1314 mstly clr none 01:00 36 9 5 249 (WSW) 1381 clear none 02:00 34 9 7 192 (SSW) 984 clear none 03:00 34 9 8 195 (SSW) 1260 clear none 04:00 32 9 6 196 (SSW) 1267 clear none 05:00 34 12 6 199 (SSW) 1230 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
