High wind and dust, then opaque clouds and radar, then snow and more wind gusts. Max wind gusts of about 45mph, max 1-micron dust counts of about 13,000. At 22:23 there was a 5.0 magnitude earthquake in Texas, we were closed but the effect was visible on the telescope telemetry. No dome collision and test slews afterwards showed no problems. Thank you Russet for checking in on us! Started snowing (wintry mix) around 02:25, ran snow program from 02:45-04:45. About an inch of snow on the ground. Telescope is parked facing south. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 44 24 20 250 (WSW) 3086 ptly cldy dust 17:00 43 23 35 255 (WSW) 8131 ptly cldy dust 18:00 40 22 29 270 (W) 8752 ptly cldy dust 19:00 40 24 29 256 (WSW) 8775 ptly cldy dust 20:00 39 24 26 256 (WSW) 6103 mstly cldy dust 21:00 39 25 22 256 (WSW) 5150 cloudy dust 22:00 38 25 24 269 (W) 2498 cloudy none 23:00 37 25 21 262 (W) 1876 cloudy none 00:00 36 26 27 264 (W) 1911 cloudy none 01:00 35 28 37 255 (WSW) cloudy humid 02:00 29 28 21 295 (WNW) cloudy snow 03:00 25 25 19 294 (WNW) cloudy snow 04:00 22 23 25 298 (WNW) cloudy lt snow 05:00 22 22 21 282 (WNW) cloudy lt snow Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
