Stayed closed at the start of night due to strong wind gusts >35 mph Opened the dome at 18:27. Due to the wind from the NNE, A half relinquished their remaining time at 23:24, so I mounted Kosmos then. At 00:26, gusts reached 40 mph so I closed the dome. Wind calmed down enough to reopen at 05:00 Finished on sky at 06:05 and took dome flats for the remaining time ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:40 arctic 639( 1181) -3 55 6.7 7.2 7.2 7.1 6.7 SDSS_g 1.14 18:42 NA2gdr 37852(37852) -5 55 6.7 7.1 7.2 7.0 6.7 -- 1.09 00:23 khigh 489( 893) 12 73 8.4 7.3 7.2 7.4 7.9 -- 1.05 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 45 10 9 37 (NE) 215 clear none 17:00 45 8 28 18 (NNE) 300 clear none 18:00 45 9 20 1 (N) 266 clear none 19:00 45 12 25 9 (N) 250 clear none 20:00 45 14 14 357 (N) 244 clear none 21:00 45 14 13 358 (N) 242 clear none 22:00 45 13 13 2 (N) 258 clear none 23:00 45 14 21 18 (NNE) 250 clear none 00:00 46 14 26 29 (NNE) 234 clear none 01:00 48 17 20 25 (NNE) 203 clear none 02:00 47 18 28 22 (NNE) 105 clear none 03:00 47 22 26 27 (NNE) 114 clear none 04:00 45 23 30 33 (NNE) 110 clear none 05:00 48 21 14 33 (NNE) 74 clear none 06:00 45 22 17 88 (E) 105 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
