Weather was perfect all night for engineering. Motion error at 20:40 going from 80 to 43 at 73.5 deg. Dataq restart at 21:55. Switched back to arctic to redo throughput at 03:20. Failed to redo throughput because iraf was all wonky and I had no good way to check my work. Gave up for the night at 4:30am. Tasks Completed: - tron and tcc restart - iol reduction testing - arctic throughput (was done very badly, see engineering email) - ecam focus was checked and no adjustment was needed - new ecam mask made - inst block for khigh kosmos and klow done - 100 point pointing model done and implemented ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:11 guider 342( 987) -25 61 9.4 8.4 8.9 8.2 8.9 B 1.17 00:12 NA2gdr 35020(35020) -25 60 9.2 8.4 8.9 8.2 8.9 B 1.10 03:37 arctic 436( 995) 300 38 7.9 7.3 7.9 7.3 7.6 SDSS_r 1.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 53 21 10 256 (WSW) 1337 clear none 17:00 50 20 7 258 (WSW) 1223 clear none 18:00 48 19 6 255 (WSW) 1710 clear none 19:00 47 20 10 215 (SW) 1744 clear none 20:00 48 19 12 232 (SW) 1978 clear none 21:00 48 18 14 243 (WSW) 1330 clear none 22:00 48 15 12 247 (WSW) 510 clear none 23:00 48 17 12 242 (WSW) 573 clear none 00:00 49 18 12 267 (W) 491 clear none 01:00 48 18 17 311 (NW) 652 clear none 02:00 47 18 10 300 (WNW) 1301 clear none 03:00 46 18 12 13 (NNE) 1377 clear none 04:00 47 18 15 357 (N) 1084 clear none 05:00 46 20 1 250 (WSW) 805 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
