Eyepiece observing was great! Around changeover the wind gusts picked up although we were able to stay open, and the seeing got worse. I had to restart stripchart mac because CPUs were at 100% (az_alt_v.stp had disappeared so that might be the culprit). At 00:16 we had an internet glitch that affected remote observers, there was a big lag in messages getting through and people had trouble with their connections. Restarted dataq this morning when it froze. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:39 ecamera 546( 182) 86 69 9.9 11.5 11.0 11.1 10.1 ND4 0.80 01:23 arctic 408( 983) 82 18 7.7 7.2 7.9 7.1 7.4 ARCTIC_4170 2.25 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 52 19 9 268 (W) 1393 mstly clr none 17:00 53 19 16 296 (WNW) 977 ptly cldy none 18:00 50 21 10 265 (W) 1185 ptly cldy none 19:00 50 23 12 229 (SW) 1456 clear none 20:00 50 22 11 261 (W) 1657 clear none 21:00 49 21 8 264 (W) 1495 clear none 22:00 50 20 11 308 (NW) 1290 clear none 23:00 48 20 1 297 (WNW) 1138 clear none 00:00 46 20 12 358 (N) 1173 clear none 01:00 46 16 18 17 (NNE) 534 clear none 02:00 46 15 17 37 (NE) 436 clear none 03:00 45 14 16 18 (NNE) 255 mstly clr none 04:00 44 13 6 33 (NNE) 210 clear none 05:00 43 9 14 346 (NNW) 133 clear none 06:00 43 7 24 346 (NNW) 143 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
