Yippee! Thank you Cary for all your work on it! Kosmos disperser wheel got stuck and I had to move it by hand. The kosmos Neon lamp initially didn't want to come on/the shutter got stuck, but got itself unstuck. Opened the dome at 17:45 to vent. Dataq restart twice at start of night. Again just before midnight. Unable to VNC into IGOR computer to do inst block, had to be done from obs3. Inst block was done on kimage from 01:11 until 01:45. Inst block went well, the pointing looks good, KOSMOS IS BACK BABY! Added and EN01 section to all above sections, and took 40 minutes (0.6hrs) away form NM05 for the instrument block. The inst block wasn't a failure of equipment or anything, EN01 seemed like the most logical option. No major problems tonight :) ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:45 ecamera 457( 149) -54 49 10.8 12.4 12.1 12.0 11.1 ND2 0.81 21:37 ecamera 422( 31) -2 43 10.8 10.6 11.2 10.4 10.6 ND1 1.53 01:43 kosmos 400( 934) -65 27 9.9 9.4 10.1 9.4 9.8 -- 1.65 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 54 22 12 322 (NW) 181 clear none 17:00 55 22 6 240 (WSW) 191 clear none 18:00 52 22 9 336 (NNW) 187 clear none 19:00 51 21 10 311 (NW) 171 clear none 20:00 53 21 12 267 (W) 199 clear none 21:00 52 21 11 243 (WSW) 296 clear none 22:00 51 22 10 217 (SW) 406 mstly clr none 23:00 52 24 10 266 (W) 446 mstly clr none 00:00 50 24 7 302 (WNW) 430 mstly clr none 01:00 51 23 1 315 (NW) 373 clear none 02:00 49 21 11 340 (NNW) 331 clear none 03:00 48 21 13 13 (NNE) 349 clear none 04:00 48 21 22 12 (NNE) 354 clear none 05:00 49 19 22 357 (N) 328 clear none 06:00 48 20 22 15 (NNE) 359 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
