We closed for a dust event for about 3 hours during A-half. Abysmal seeing pretty much all night long. At checkout, restarted gcam nubs. The KOSMOS disperser wheel got stuck around 19:00 when I moved it to empty to refocus, but it only happened the one time. We were not changing dispersers often tonight. The kcam shutter started getting stuck for single exposures every once in a while once we got down to -2.6C, but was never a significant problem. Closed up a little early for cals. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17:53 kosmos 300( 897) -19 53 5.7 6.2 6.8 6.1 5.7 -- 1.98 19:09 kosmos 300( 842) -71 35 4.8 4.7 5.5 4.8 4.8 -- 3.50 00:20 kosmos 150( 454) 135 42 -1.8 -0.2 1.0 -0.6 -1.5 -- 4.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 46 7 20 267 (W) 2655 mstly cldy none 17:00 43 6 26 266 (W) 2348 ptly cldy none 18:00 43 5 16 249 (WSW) 2078 ptly cldy none 19:00 41 6 18 249 (WSW) 2705 ptly cldy none 20:00 40 2 18 267 (W) 3442 ptly cldy dust 21:00 39 1 22 268 (W) 5912 ptly cldy dust 22:00 39 -1 22 266 (W) 14279 ptly cldy dust 23:00 35 -1 17 287 (WNW) 7771 ptly cldy dust 00:00 30 3 8 2 (N) 1849 ptly cldy none 01:00 28 -4 24 355 (N) 849 ptly cldy none 02:00 28 -8 9 340 (NNW) 452 clear none 03:00 27 -10 25 37 (NE) 280 clear none 04:00 27 -10 12 9 (N) 320 clear none 05:00 28 -13 20 335 (NNW) 233 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
