Seeing was moderate given the north wind but we were able to stay open all night without issue. Since Ben has been testing the generator, I've been having to reset the mirror covers, which I think will happen for several more days. I focused kcam on the center position and it was closer to 1150 tonight (1200 last night) but it was still a bit viggly. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18:21 arctic 506( 742) 242 55 -3.0 -3.6 -3.6 -3.5 -3.2 sdss-r 1.60 20:07 kosmos 366( 508) 287 50 -2.7 -3.5 -3.0 -3.4 -3.2 -- 1.34 22:47 kosmos 296( 433) 96 63 -2.3 -3.4 -2.8 -3.3 -3.0 -- 1.00 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 24 14 15 310 (NW) 1272 clear none 17:00 25 14 22 326 (NW) 1080 clear none 18:00 26 13 16 354 (N) 832 clear none 19:00 27 12 9 311 (NW) 827 clear none 20:00 27 12 4 343 (NNW) 798 clear none 21:00 28 12 7 328 (NNW) 823 clear none 22:00 28 12 2 237 (WSW) 784 clear none 23:00 28 12 10 348 (NNW) 788 clear none 00:00 28 12 18 17 (NNE) 711 clear none 01:00 29 11 12 4 (N) 632 clear none 02:00 28 11 23 4 (N) 498 clear none 03:00 29 10 30 33 (NNE) 592 clear none 04:00 33 5 18 51 (NE) 469 clear none 05:00 35 2 23 58 (ENE) 516 clear none 06:00 35 -1 15 54 (NE) 499 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
