During checkout, NICFPS got stuck setting NFS and never took an exposure. After stopping the script and trying again (and after trying 'nicfps expose init') I got the error "the target named nicfps is not connected". I reconnected nicfps and restarted the ics, which fixed the problem. Optical all sky camera froze during twilight, I restarted the Alcor computer which fixed the problem. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 19:08 ecamera 407( 561) -46 44 15.5 17.9 17.5 17.6 16.1 ND3 1.93 23:42 ecamera 287( 183) 73 39 12.2 12.3 13.0 12.1 12.2 ND2 2.00 01:20 tcamera 319( 1433) 74 32 12.3 11.6 12.2 11.3 11.8 Ks 1.73 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 33 5 195 (SSW) 821 mstly cldy none 17:00 67 33 7 257 (WSW) 871 mstly cldy none 18:00 65 33 6 231 (SW) 885 ptly cldy none 19:00 60 32 2 242 (WSW) 853 clear none 20:00 58 28 13 177 (S) 707 clear none 21:00 57 29 15 135 (SE) 741 clear none 22:00 56 28 16 126 (SE) 767 mstly clr none 23:00 55 29 13 131 (SE) 763 mstly clr none 00:00 55 30 8 137 (SE) 1010 clear none 01:00 53 30 5 169 (S) 939 clear none 02:00 56 31 7 219 (SW) 865 clear none 03:00 54 29 6 251 (WSW) 713 clear none 04:00 56 27 7 271 (W) 700 clear none 05:00 56 26 10 308 (NW) 663 clear none 06:00 56 26 7 346 (NNW) 644 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
