The weather deteriorated again, and we closed at 04:24 with radar nearby. Rain and radar kept us closed for the remainder of the night. Echelle calibrations were executed via a time-tested script; however, the blue flat failed to have the blue filter in the light path, and at a separate time hours later, the system failed to remove the filter from the path. Successful blue/open flats were obtained in subsequent exposures. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 23:59 dssi 225( 1644) 240 61 14.6 15.3 16.2 15.0 14.3 692nm 1.20 01:15 ecamera 266( 260) 0 50 14.8 14.6 15.2 14.3 14.6 ND2 0.88 Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 49 12 216 (SW) 879 mstly cldy none 17:00 65 45 12 212 (SSW) 914 mstly cldy none 18:00 64 42 4 253 (WSW) 852 cloudy lt rain 19:00 63 41 5 252 (WSW) 922 cloudy none 20:00 63 41 2 243 (WSW) 979 cloudy lt rain 21:00 62 41 9 3 (N) 933 cloudy rain 22:00 56 49 19 127 (SE) ptly cldy none 23:00 57 48 16 125 (SE) mstly clr none 00:00 58 47 14 136 (SE) 810 mstly clr none 01:00 59 47 18 133 (SE) 770 mstly clr none 02:00 59 47 13 147 (SSE) 781 mstly clr none 03:00 58 47 11 182 (S) 807 ptly cldy none 04:00 58 47 11 172 (S) 841 mstly cldy none 05:00 57 48 13 197 (SSW) cloudy lt rain 06:00 56 49 11 188 (S) mstly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
