Zeroed rotator before DIFFIT (-0.035) DIFFIT observers reported seeing degrading throughout A-half, approximately 1.5 arcseconds or so. KOSMOS got stuck on writing while focusing at changeover; I restarted the icc which cleared the problem. I didn't bother rescuing the image. Interesting error when I tried binning kcam x3 (which is not something we usually do): 2024-09-19 11:51:51 APO.Amanda 371 kcam w debug="camera shape does not agree with dark, cam=(341, 341) dark=(340, 340)" I also had the KOSMOS disperser wheel get stuck this morning after closing up, with a timeout error. Solved problem by moving the disperser wheel into place by hand and doing a 'kosmos status robotics' as when this problem occurred previously. 2024-09-19 12:16:01 APO.Amanda 406 kosmos f text="disperser 5: Timed out" Other engineering tasks accomplished: - Standard star exposures on KOSMOS - Implemented and checked pointing model - Measured KOSMOS slitviewer focus, new values: High=1950, Ctr=2050, Low=2350 - Tested limiting magnitudes on KOSMOS slitviewer ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 01:07 kosmos 265( 1281) 324 46 15.0 13.9 14.5 13.9 14.5 -- 0.92 03:31 kosmos 365( 1375) 14 57 14.8 14.0 14.6 14.0 14.3 -- 0.92 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 67 34 24 221 (SW) 759 clear none 17:00 67 37 11 250 (WSW) 804 clear none 18:00 65 37 16 226 (SW) 689 clear none 19:00 61 37 14 226 (SW) 859 clear none 20:00 59 36 12 208 (SSW) 769 clear none 21:00 58 35 14 218 (SW) 684 clear none 22:00 58 35 11 228 (SW) 713 clear none 23:00 58 32 12 226 (SW) 627 clear none 00:00 59 28 8 257 (WSW) 636 clear none 01:00 59 28 13 278 (W) 675 clear none 02:00 59 30 11 269 (W) 786 clear none 03:00 58 31 10 287 (WNW) 817 clear none 04:00 59 33 11 282 (WNW) 798 mstly clr none 05:00 59 34 9 263 (W) 817 mstly clr none 06:00 58 36 8 263 (W) 883 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
