Luckily th pointing was very good and we actually were at focus where we were. Below is the error. I let Leslie use the telescope while I consulted with Russet. 2024-08-29 07:18:00 APO.Jack-ObsA 253 tcc f text="Sub-command(s) failed: move -631.8533,525.7827,497.8398,0.9000,-518.1428: ?GO one or more motor amplifiers is reporting a fault" 2024-08-29 07:31:15 .tcc.0 0 tcc W Text="Device Command A=-1774576; B=-1295242; C=1713; XQ #MOVE Failing: ?GO one or more motor amplifiers is reporting a fault" 2024-08-29 07:31:15 .tcc.0 0 tcc w Text="Collimation Failure: ?GO one or more motor amplifiers is reporting a fault" Our plan is to reset the tertiary galil and home the mirror during instrument changeover to TSPEC later tonight. Russet will log in remotely, I will do the physical galili reset and then get TSPEC mounted while she works homing and hopefully resolving the issue to get us back on sky to use TSPEC. Clouds formed on us around 03:00. ALthough we tried observing a couple times in that period, clouds re-formed over us quickly and we didn't really get anything useful. We tried resetting the tertiary amp to no avail. Russet is submitting a PR. I left the left galil box cover off since I assume Bill will need to access it anyhow today. Cloud never really allowed us to open after 4:15AM when my 2nd half observer gave up and I went up to work on the amplifier issue. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:13 arctic 342( 1470) 61 60 13.7 15.5 15.0 14.9 14.2 BG40 1.41 20:15 NA2gdr 6455(36455) 61 60 13.6 15.4 15.0 14.9 14.2 clear 1.37 01:23 ecamera 352( 252) 283 77 13.7 12.9 13.5 12.9 13.2 ND1 0.60 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 60 48 11 207 (SSW) 1187 mstly cldy none 17:00 60 50 16 207 (SSW) 920 mstly cldy none 18:00 60 50 9 190 (S) 874 mstly cldy none 19:00 58 50 5 200 (SSW) 953 ptly cldy none 20:00 57 49 7 155 (SSE) ptly cldy none 21:00 56 48 9 185 (S) ptly cldy none 22:00 56 48 10 184 (S) mstly clr none 23:00 57 49 11 184 (S) clear none 00:00 57 47 10 185 (S) 1130 clear none 01:00 57 47 9 184 (S) mstly clr none 02:00 57 48 8 200 (SSW) ptly cldy none 03:00 57 49 10 210 (SSW) cloudy none 04:00 56 49 11 214 (SW) cloudy none 05:00 55 50 9 225 (SW) cloudy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
