We were able to stay open until 4:15 when the basin radar started becoming too unpredictable. We were able to cover a lot of ground tonight! We started by applying the pointing model from yesterday. Things looked good until we got an M2 amplifier error and the mirror wouldn't move. PR 2215 was sent. We were able to get the galil rebooted and the mirror homed. Torrie ran an inst block for the NA2 guider and only some small corrections were applied. Russet fired the laser and noted that "APOLLO Rx mirror is failing to move, it was still possible to do ranging but signal level was very weak." Russet than rechecked collimation and made a small correction. There was an error on Shack about disk space: 08:27:41 APO.Russet-py3: "You do not have rights to Logical Disk Manager on Shack" ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 00:24 APOLLO 300( 2064) 92 44 14.6 14.3 15.0 14.3 14.3 530 1.70 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 36 8 226 (SW) 637 mstly cldy none 17:00 69 40 10 87 (E) 723 mstly cldy none 18:00 68 42 7 103 (ESE) 945 mstly cldy none 19:00 66 42 18 135 (SE) 1269 mstly clr none 20:00 64 42 18 118 (ESE) 1443 mstly clr none 21:00 62 45 16 103 (ESE) 1551 mstly clr none 22:00 61 46 16 81 (E) 1627 mstly clr none 23:00 59 46 20 110 (ESE) 1711 mstly clr none 00:00 59 46 17 88 (E) 1545 mstly clr none 01:00 59 46 11 103 (ESE) 1347 ptly cldy none 02:00 57 46 11 81 (E) 1193 mstly cldy none 03:00 56 46 8 86 (E) 1131 mstly cldy none 04:00 58 46 3 101 (E) 1003 mstly cldy none 05:00 59 45 1 215 (SW) 1131 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
