We will recover it tomorrow. Collimation was the main goal of the night. We were able to make M1 corrections as well as run Shack-Hartmann and make M2 corrections. It was slow going but it finally makes more sense! Much documentation is being written. There was radar at the beginning of the night and then after midnight. Things started getting real touch and go and we closed around 2:30 due to clouds. Around 3:30 some light rain started. No problems tonight. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 68 42 20 218 (SW) 1092 ptly cldy none 17:00 69 40 6 191 (S) 744 ptly cldy none 18:00 72 40 9 188 (S) 903 ptly cldy none 19:00 68 39 11 140 (SE) 1424 ptly cldy none 20:00 67 37 14 159 (SSE) 959 mstly clr none 21:00 67 36 18 151 (SSE) 875 mstly clr none 22:00 66 35 17 146 (SE) 870 mstly clr none 23:00 67 36 14 145 (SE) 852 ptly cldy none 00:00 67 35 16 181 (S) 934 ptly cldy none 01:00 66 35 14 186 (S) 1233 mstly cldy none 02:00 65 35 15 183 (S) 1446 mstly cldy none 03:00 62 38 22 151 (SSE) 978 mstly cldy lt rain 04:00 60 45 23 128 (SE) 1281 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
