There was no more measurable rain after that, but radar was too close to risk it for a while. We were able to open for part of second half, closed for a dust spike, and then re-opened with defensive fan settings when the dust came back down again. There was a nice red aurora peeking over the northern horizon for half the night. I couldn't see it with my eyes, but my phone agreed with the all-sky camera that it was mostly Halpha. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 02:02 arctic 284( 1553) -39 33 17.4 17.9 18.4 17.9 17.4 CUVR 1.17 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 71 44 7 339 (NNW) 1224 mstly cldy none 17:00 66 47 10 98 (E) 1418 ptly cldy none 18:00 68 45 8 121 (ESE) 1073 ptly cldy rain 19:00 69 40 6 111 (ESE) 901 ptly cldy none 20:00 68 41 7 122 (ESE) 977 ptly cldy none 21:00 68 40 7 182 (S) 985 mstly cldy none 22:00 68 39 7 177 (S) 1010 mstly cldy none 23:00 68 39 12 182 (S) 1110 mstly cldy none 00:00 63 44 9 118 (ESE) 1204 mstly cldy none 01:00 64 41 16 126 (SE) 1379 ptly cldy none 02:00 63 38 15 145 (SE) 1303 ptly cldy none 03:00 63 41 7 182 (S) 1526 mstly clr none 04:00 62 43 5 256 (WSW) 9199 mstly clr dust 05:00 64 40 7 293 (WNW) 3652 mstly clr none 06:00 64 40 3 341 (NNW) 1696 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
