I had to reconnect the remotely mounted disks and then restart the nubs, which brought it back. I also fixed the cable wrap when mounting the instrument so that it's draped in the correct way now. We had rain this afternoon and started off the night with a storm just north of us which cleared out an hour and a half after sunset. We're still seeing quite a bit of smoke but tonight the humidity was much lower so once we were clear of the storm we opened up with the press fans on and the louvers closed. After the wind switched to the south/southwest the dust counts even started falling! Otherwise, we had thin clouds and ok seeing throughout the night. NA2 guider filter names were missing, had to bring them back. NICFPS started reading zeros around 04:50, nicfps expose init brought it back. At the end of the night we started getting PRESSURE_WARN="Pressure too high!" warnings for NICFPS and the ion pump controller. Temperatures are ok. I discussed the problem with Bill and Cary for further troubleshooting. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:50 ecamera 442( 620) -26 29 17.4 18.1 19.1 18.1 17.6 ND2 1.41 00:27 NICFPS 689( 2196) 35 68 15.1 15.1 17.1 15.0 14.9 MK-J 1.04 02:01 NICFPS 639( 2160) -30 69 16.1 15.4 16.6 15.6 15.8 MK-J 1.51 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 58 48 7 74 (ENE) 5220 mstly cldy none 17:00 61 45 11 114 (ESE) 4024 mstly cldy none 18:00 68 41 8 163 (SSE) 2673 mstly cldy none 19:00 66 41 10 112 (ESE) 2990 mstly cldy none 20:00 63 41 11 114 (ESE) 3128 ptly cldy none 21:00 64 37 18 145 (SE) 3334 ptly cldy none 22:00 63 37 19 134 (SE) 3522 mstly clr none 23:00 62 36 18 128 (SE) 3848 ptly cldy none 00:00 60 37 15 144 (SE) 3712 ptly cldy none 01:00 61 37 3 194 (SSW) 3752 ptly cldy none 02:00 61 36 7 187 (S) 3305 ptly cldy none 03:00 61 38 9 201 (SSW) 3298 ptly cldy none 04:00 60 39 10 203 (SSW) 3255 ptly cldy none 05:00 60 39 9 186 (S) 3079 ptly cldy none 06:00 60 38 10 202 (SSW) 2944 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
