Seeing was decent despite a brisk east wind, which can be one indicator of a monsoon state! Russet and Mark did the instrument change, and Russet stayed until ARCTIC was focused. The cloud state was variable, but the seeing at switchover was unchanged from the earlier measurement. The observer was able to collect data all through morning sky flats. After parking the telescope for the night, a Reverse software limit error was encountered, where Alt was showing 0 when it was actually at 75 degrees. Russet talked Mark through the reset procedure, and all is well now. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 21:18 khigh 250( 1596) 211 53 20.6 21.0 21.3 20.8 20.5 - 1.08 01:34 arctic 379( 1647) 12 69 19.4 18.6 19.1 18.5 18.9 BG40 1.08 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 73 33 8 82 (E) 1389 mstly cldy none 17:00 74 32 8 46 (NE) 1561 ptly cldy none 18:00 75 31 4 338 (NNW) 1417 ptly cldy none 19:00 77 36 14 185 (S) 1752 ptly cldy none 20:00 68 38 15 106 (ESE) 1167 ptly cldy none 21:00 70 36 23 127 (SE) 1658 mstly clr none 22:00 70 34 24 127 (SE) 1681 ptly cldy none 23:00 68 37 20 125 (SE) 1607 ptly cldy none 00:00 67 42 13 118 (ESE) 1899 mstly clr none 01:00 67 42 20 128 (SE) 1836 ptly cldy none 02:00 67 41 18 144 (SE) 1822 mstly clr none 03:00 66 39 16 154 (SSE) 1557 mstly clr none 04:00 64 44 14 179 (S) 1344 ptly cldy none 05:00 65 45 18 160 (SSE) 1321 ptly cldy none 06:00 65 43 20 167 (SSE) 1317 ptly cldy none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
