We had the secondary throw the "mir35mSec error too large to correct" error when I tried to focus the echelle. I added to the PR 2202 trail. Russet and I worked through unsticking the A actuator but we did lose an hour on sky. The laser had overheating issues after just two firings. Russet had to stop the program early due to the temps. Russet donated the rest of her time to the DSSI team 05:20 The weather was at least good tonight; clear with fantastic seeing. ------- FAILURE LOG ------- FAILURE MODE TIME PROG INSTR TI/SHU START FINISH DESCRIPTION ---------------------------------------------------------------------- UV04 E T/U 20:12 21:15 secondary mirror needed to be rehomed AP01 L I/H 05:05 05:49 The laser was overheating ---------------- FOCUS LOG --------------- Time Instrument Focus Az El Temp Strc Prim Sec Air filt FWHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 20:15 ecamera 410( 408) 38 67 14.3 14.9 15.1 14.4 14.2 ND5 0.77 21:21 dssi 435( 1787) -73 62 14.6 13.9 14.4 13.9 14.1 692 0.68 ------------- WEATHER LOG ---------------- Wind Precip.or Time Temp F Dewp F MPH Direction Dust Sky Conditions ------------------------------------------------------------------ 16:00 62 15 17 297 (WNW) 1169 clear none 17:00 63 14 13 261 (W) 988 clear none 18:00 64 14 11 265 (W) 967 clear none 19:00 63 14 7 261 (W) 897 clear none 20:00 60 10 10 253 (WSW) 1131 clear none 21:00 58 11 16 268 (W) 1213 clear none 22:00 57 11 12 241 (WSW) 948 clear none 23:00 57 12 15 251 (WSW) 778 clear none 00:00 57 13 8 261 (W) 870 clear none 01:00 56 13 19 287 (WNW) 894 clear none 02:00 55 13 14 295 (WNW) 865 clear none 03:00 53 12 10 289 (WNW) 907 clear none 04:00 56 16 15 359 (N) 1026 clear none 05:00 56 14 4 300 (WNW) 995 clear none Note: the wind was coming from the azimuth listed.
